Executive Assistant for a Small Family Business

ARK Therapeutic is a small family company in Columbia, SC that makes sensory tools for individuals who have special needs. We’re looking for an energetic go-getter to support our executive team.

THINGS YOU'LL DO:

As a small business, we all wear many hats. We’re looking for someone who can be a jack-of-all-trades and switch between many projects, such as:

• Provide customer service when needed (answer the phones, respond to email inquiries, answer questions about products, troubleshoot and resolve issues, etc.)
• Assist with marketing, outreach, and sales efforts
• Office work such as: data entry, making copies, stuffing envelopes, running errands, organizing, scheduling appointments, etc.
• On very busy days, help pack out orders and/or assemble products (It’s all-hands-on-deck around Black Friday for example)
• Analyze issues and offer and implement solutions
• Compose correspondence, reports, memos, etc.
• Help the owners with any special projects or tasks assigned, which may at times be work or personal-related

ABOUT YOU:

• You’re excited about being involved in many different areas of running a business.
• No job is too big or too small. You’re willing to fill in wherever needed.
• You are investigative by nature and will try to find answers on your own. But you’re also aware that time is money and know when to ask for help and/or clarification.
• You run circles around other people and like to stay busy.
• You solve problems before other people even know they’re problems.
• You’re very detail oriented and a good communicator.

OTHER DETAILS:

This is an on-site position in a relatively quiet and casual yet professional office setting.

The position is approximately 10-20 hours per week (either mornings or afternoons, Monday through Friday), with some flexibility within reason.

We’re ideally looking for someone who will want to stay with us long-term and make a home here.

This position pays $18-$20 per hour, depending on experience.
