Summary

General Position Description

The food service staff prepares food and serves meals and snacks to center children. The food service staff is responsible for cleanliness and safety of the kitchen.

This position reports to the center director.

Duties

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook and deliver meals
  • Maintain hygiene and safety of the kitchen in accordance with state licensing requirements.
  • Follow all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Move as the position requires.

  • Monday through Friday, January through December
  • Day shift
  • About 6 hours kitchen duties with about 2 hours general center cleaning and/or breaking other staff.
