Human Resources Generalist

Wilkes-Barre, PA

Currently looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist to fill an opening with the HR department located in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Interested candidates should have 3-5 years experience as an HR Generalist in an industrial setting and an understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist

  • Administer compensation and benefit plans
  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help plan training & development
  • Provide support to employees in various HR related topics such as leaves, compensation etc. and resolve issues and problems
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Undertake tasks in performance management

Requirements of the Human Resources Generalist

  • 3-5 years experience as a HR Generalist in an industrial setting
  • PHR or SPHR certification or the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification required
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Suite
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
  • BS/BA in Business administration or relevant field
  • Must be willing to travel to NJ to visit secondary location using company vehicle

Compensation for the Human Resources Generalist

The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $40,000.00 to $45,000.00.
