Job Description:

The USG Pricing Controller will establish and lead the segment’s program to ensure compliance with USG regulations associated with proposals and the cost estimating business system (e.g., Federal Acquisition Regulations and Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement). S/he will work closely with partners across the segment to ensure that appropriate internal controls exist so that systems and procedures comply with USG procurement requirements.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating estimating and contract pricing practices to ensure compliance with applicable statutes and regulations
  • Assessing estimating system risk/exposure across the various segment CAS 410’s and lead gap closure initiatives
  • Strengthen and standardize internal controls for government contracting estimating and pricing compliance including policies, procedures, practices and training
  • Lead establishment and provision of robust government proposal compliance training program across segment
  • Provide proposal guidance and support as necessary
  • Coordination of the Business System audit preparation and execution for audits performed by DCAA, including development of corrective action plans as applicable
  • Assisting, as necessary, in integration activities with focus on ensuring compliant business systems requirements
  • Create and lead a segment wide pricing compliance committee
  • Assisting with ad hoc requests and special projects regarding Compliance issues
  • Keep the Segment / Sector CFOs informed of pricing and estimating issues and status of CS 410 estimating system adequacy and audit activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Must be a proactive, self-starter but also have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to interact with all levels
  • Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills and capable of multi-tasking.
  • Experience with FAR and DFARS.
  • Able to work with minimal day to day supervision

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

  • 7 years in the aerospace and government contracting industry with exhibited progression
  • General understanding/knowledge of defense contractor proposal processes.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and DFARS
  • Experience working with DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) & DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency)
  • Must have hands on experience in supporting of DCAA & DCMA audits and DFARS Business Systems.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proven proactive, self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience utilizing communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills and capable of multi-tasking
  • Travel to locations outside of Palm Bay Florida on an as needed basis.
