Supply Chain Assistant (Temporary through December 2022)

This position is daytime during PST hours.

The Role: The MaryRuth team is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant for a temporary, full-time (40 hr/wk) position to start as soon as possible. This is a remote position. We are looking for someone with a strong background and demonstrated experience in logistics planning with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Working closely with the Project Managers and Operations team, the Supply Chain Assistant will provide support to Project Managers in transferring products from manufacturers to retail outlets and customers; additional responsibilities include clerical and administrative duties as needed.
  • Ensure product movement from suppliers to manufacturers to 3PL and retail.
  • Make sure all products are sent on time and reach the correct destination.
  • Monitor the inventory levels and make recommendations for ordering and inventory transfer.
  • Highly involved in report generation and eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Shiphero, Netsuite).
  • Support relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and their staff.
  • Perform research activities in order to identify new solutions for logistical challenges.
  • Perform several clerical duties for management.
  • Prepare reports concerning inventory across sales channels, sales and forecasting.
  • Some travel (<5%) may be required on an as-needed basis, with advance notice provided to the employee.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed.

  • 2-4 years of demonstrated experience in supply chain logistics management or related industry
  • 4-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Finance, or related area (preferred)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and efficient in time management
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping
  • Ability to perform well without close supervision
  • Multitasking and flexible to change
  • Works well in high-pressure situations
  • Technologically savvy and able to quickly learn new systems and software
  • Attention to details
  • Team-focused and strives to learn and grow within a company

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • This role involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
