Lipari Foods LLC is actively seeking a talented Warehouse Area Floor Supervisor to join our Warehouse Shipping team this position would be responsible for helping run the outbound shipping shift on a nightly basis in a Refrigerated Warehouse facility (37*). Our Shipping Team works predominantly on the afternoon shift, from approximately 1PM until 11:00pm or beyond when necessary. The shift consists of nearly 200 employees who select, wrap, audit, forklift move, and load pallet orders onto company semi-trucks for delivery. This Warehouse Supervisor position is responsible for helping run the shift when the Warehouse Manager is away, and collaboration and teamwork with fellow supervisors. The perfect candidate will possess, along with the requirements stated below, the ability to handle aggressive growth, be systemically driven, and have a strong financial acumen. This position is also responsible for the training and coaching of employees working in a warehouse environment; where headsets are utilized for giving direction, and use of systems tools like Vo-collect and RF Scanning.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coach, with the support of other warehouse supervision, all direct reports including - Order Selectors, Loaders, Forklift Stockers, Invoicing Clerks, and Auditing Personnel
  • Elevate your assigned work area to the highest levels of performance, cleanliness, and accuracy, while keeping it damage free
  • Create the overall highest possible positively charged work environment for the warehouse
  • Work with your management team to monitor direct reports' performance, attendance, and disciplinary issues
  • Analyze and evaluate current processes with recommendations for improvement
  • Implementation of new processes and improvements
  • Coach employees to care for their facility as if they own it
  • Produce outbound pallet orders built and wrapped structurally with strength enough to withstand the shuttle/route shipping process across 17 states in the Midwest
  • Avoid the costliness of correcting inaccuracy by ensuring employees select error free and keep the product being shipped damage free
  • Work with warehouse management to constantly improve safety, productivity and quality
  • Ensure proper training of new and existing employees
  • Inform maintenance personnel of any material handling or other facility issues that arise during the course of the shift
  • Must be able to work all shifts, depending on company needs
  • All other duties as requested

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a primary focus in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or -General Management a plus
  • Minimum of 5+ years in Warehousing environment, preferably within food service distribution and warehousing applications utilizing a pick and pack format
  • Minimum of 2+ years of Warehouse supervision experience
  • Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), material handling techniques, etc.
  • Understanding of proper warehousing and management fundamentals
  • Computer applications such as MS Windows, MS Excel, MS Word
  • Internal training which include emergency procedures, sanitation and safety, forklift and walking-riders, as well as other industry-specific items
  • Ability to champion ideas and possess desire to see them implemented
