The Department of Nursing at the University of South Dakota is seeking applications for a full-time 12-month academic advisor who serves as a mentor and guide to undergraduate nursing students, offering support, professional advisement and resources to assist students in navigating their education path and preparing them for a successful career in nursing.
Responsibilities:

- Provide academic guidance and course registration to meet graduation requirements.
- Provide academic coaching and resources for students.
- Participate in recruiting events for prospective students.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred or related field.
- Ability to travel between Sioux Falls and Vermillion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in academic advising.
- Evidence of exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team.
Salary will be based on experience and education.

USD Nursing is part of the USD School of Health Sciences, which includes nine programs offering a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing Degree in Vermillion and Sioux Falls, an RN-BSN program, an online MSN and DNP program, and a Doctorate of Nurse Anesthesia in Sioux Falls. The School of Health Sciences and the USD/Sanford School of Medicine form the Division of Health Affairs. USD is a comprehensive liberal arts state institution with approximately 10,000 students.
