What You’ll Do:
As an Arcadia Accountant, you’ll report directly to the Senior Tax Manager and play a vital role in delivering exceptional tax services to our clients while supporting the growth of our public accounting practice.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare income tax returns for individuals, S-corporations, C-corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
- Conduct tax research and draft responses to federal, state, and local tax issues.
- Provide mentorship and review the work of junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with clients to collect necessary information and address tax-related questions.
- Maintain timely and organized tax workflows to meet strict deadlines.
- Assist with ad hoc projects, including the integration of new acquisitions and implementation of process improvements.
- Attend team meetings to share updates, tax planning insights, and workflow strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure outstanding client work is processed efficiently.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax services.
- Expertise in preparing and filing 1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S, and 709 tax returns.
- Sophisticated knowledge of income tax planning, compliance, and consulting.
- Valid PTIN.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with a client-centered approach.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
- Experience with multiple tax software platforms and Microsoft Office.
- Reliable transportation to our Manchester, NH and/or Andover, MA offices.
