Job Opportunity: Remote Tax Manager (EA or CPA)
Berger & Associates, a small but growing Maryland-based tax planning and advisory practice, has an immediate need for a seasoned EA or CPA with expertise across diverse tax return types and a passion for leadership in a remote setting. Join our team as a Remote Tax Manager and play a pivotal role in delivering top-notch tax services, overseeing our offshore data entry and bookkeeping staff, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Position: Remote Tax Manager
Location: United States (US-based candidates only)

Key Responsibilities:
Tax Return Oversight: Review, and prepare when needed, a wide range of tax returns,
including individual, partnership, S-corporation, C-corporation, not-for-profit, and trust tax returns.
Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of remote tax preparers, ensuring
accuracy, compliance, and high standards in all deliverables.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of draft tax returns, providing feedback and making corrections as needed to ensure quality and compliance.
Client and Team Interaction: Communicate and collaborate with the firm owner,
administrative staff, and clients, providing updates, insights, and maintaining a seamless flow of information.
IRS and State notice resolution
Required Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience, including preparation and
review of individual, partnership, S-corporation, C-corporation, not-for-profit, and trust tax returns. Experience with UltraTax is a plus.
Leadership Skills: Proven experience supervising and guiding a remote team, with an
eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to
interact effectively with clients, team members, and leadership.
Location: Must be based in the United States.

Zoom or Teams, participating in and eventually leading these meetings.
