Accounts Recievable and Electronic Billing
JOB SUMMARY:
The Accountant is responsible for all areas of Billing and Accounts Receivables Collections, also responsible for Payroll and Accounts Payable. In addition they are the key assistant to the Office Manager assisting with tasks including but not limited to bookkeeping, reception, human resources, intakes, clients, caregivers, and is an important team player in operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- H.S. Diploma or GED, some college or two years related experience and/or training preferred.
- Experience in billing, accounts receivables including Home Care Medicaid Waiver.
- Ability to use QuickBooks and WellSky Billing.
- Ability to track and communicate with clients on their accounts receivables and getting them collected. This includes working with appropriate collections agencies and attorneys.
- Requires proficiency in computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel and Scheduling program.
- Have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly.
- Ability to carry out directions, read and write.
- Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
- Must possess and demonstrate quality communication, leadership and organizational skills and customer service techniques.
- Must perform and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently and work well under pressure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee, track and enforce collection policies for Accounts Receivables including working with Collections Companies and Attorneys.
- Enters, maintains, and corrects client, employee, payroll, billing and related accounting data into the computer.
- Greets office visitors, answers the telephone and performs customer service functions.
- Enters, maintains and corrects client billing for a variety of payees and insurance programs.
- Assist with other tasks related to Office Management including ordering and maintaining office supplies, forms and equipment.
- Understands and adheres to established FirstLight Home Care policies and procedures.
- Reports changes in client condition to agency employees involved in client’s care.
- Participate in the quality assurance reviews and evaluations of the agency’s services.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Works indoors in FirstLight Home Care office and may work or travel to/from client homes.

Ability to perform the following tasks if necessary:
- Ability to participate in physical activity.
- Ability to work for extended period of time while standing and being involved in physical activity.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
