Gargiulo Produce is looking for an Accounting Associate to join our dynamic company. As the Accounting Associate, you will perform bookkeeping, administrative, and various accounting tasks. The Accounting Associate will be responsible for reconciling bank records, drafting financial documents, processing accounts payable (AP) invoicing, and analyzing rebate invoicing and statements. This role will support the Accounting Team and provide exposure to payroll and administrative business activities, including COIs, Fleet and mileage reporting, and maintenance. We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented individual who is eager to grow with our company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting and finance activities and record-keeping
- Process journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Analyze and process rebate payments
- Maintain COI’s
- Support AP and maintain the new vendor process
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
- Manage work orders reporting
- Assist with fixed assets
- Manage expense reports and reimbursements
- Manage fleet, repairs, violations, and accident reporting
- Assist with treasury and GL analysis
- Manage credit card reconciliations
- Support the Accounting Supervisor in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 2 Years of Bookkeeping / Accounting experience
- Minimum 2 Years of experience in Accounts Payables
- Courses taken or a Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
