This accounting position will perform various accounting functions such as A/R, A/P, and G/L. This position reports directly to the Controller for The Taylor Group, Inc.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing all accounts payable functions.
- Receives and processes invoices for payment, charging to appropriate account number.
- Resolves any problems with invoices prior to submission for
- Receive and respond to customer requests for invoices, statements, W-9?s,
- Receive and respond to vendor requests regarding invoice/payment
- Receive and record customer payments.
- Process applications and set up new customers and vendors in the system.
- Prepares and enters journal entries as required.
- General ledger account analysis as required.
- Prepare bank reconciliations.
- Prepare reports as directed by supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned by
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Be knowledgeable of the accounts payable and accounts receivable process.
- Perform all job accountabilities with professionalism and protect the organization?s/department?s value by keeping information confidential.
- Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate a computer and basic office
- Proficiency in data entry and typing is
- Oral and written communication skills are required to effectively interact with vendors, customers and employees.
- Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to changes.

Education and Experience:
- Associates degree in Accounting or related business field
- 2-4 years accounts payable or general accounting
