Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and organize client files and documentation for tax appointments and filings
- Schedule and confirm client appointments; greet clients and provide exceptional customer service
- Answer and direct inbound phone calls and respond to client queries in a friendly, professional manner
- Scan, file, and maintain digital and physical records with a strong focus on confidentiality
- Print and process tax status reports and assemble tax return packages for delivery to clients
- Send and follow up on tax organizers, engagement letters, and client documentation
- Support the tax staff with additional administrative and accounting tasks as assigned
- Assist with general office tasks, including mail, supply inventory, and reception duties
- Coordinate with the accounting team on billing and invoicing as needed
Requirements:
- Experience working in an accounting or tax office (minimum 1 year required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with tax preparation software (such as QuickBooks, Lacerte, or similar)
- Knowledge of general accounting terminology and tax-related procedures
- Customer service experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
