Accounts Receivable Agent
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate accurate and timely invoices for all accounts receivable activities, ensuring proper documentation is provided.
- Review and send customer statements, reconcile property accounts, and respond promptly to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and misapplied payments.
- Accurately post and apply checks and wire transfers to customer accounts in accordance with company policies.
- Process advance deposits and ensure correct application.
- Lead or participate in credit meetings, monitor aging reports, and provide feedback on delinquent accounts.
- Assist in managing and tracking chargebacks and dispute resolutions.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and help ensure bad debt provisions are accurately posted.
- Support month-end close processes, including inventory spot checks and group commission reconciliation.
- Collaborate closely with the Controller to meet collection targets and performance goals.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and organized files using effective tracking systems.
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve productivity.
- Assist team members with special projects and ad hoc requests.
- Foster a team-first environment through strong communication and collaboration with other departments.
- Maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn about hotel operations and cross-functional accounting processes.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or hospitality finance preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with basic office equipment.
