The International Accrediting Commission for Digital Education (IACDE) is a global quality assurance body dedicated to accrediting online, hybrid, and digitally enhanced education providers. Our mission is to validate meaningful, accessible, high-quality virtual education through transparent and rigorous accreditation. We seek ethical, experienced, and visionary leaders to join our Board Members to help guide academic policy, peer review integrity, and accreditation decisions for emerging and established institutions around the world.
Position Overview
We are seeking passionate, dedicated, and experienced individuals to serve as Board Members for the International Accreditation Council for Digital Education (IACDE). In this vital leadership role, you will help guide and shape the future of academic accreditation for digital education programs in the U.S. and internationally. Board Members provide strategic oversight, contribute to policy development, and ensure the integrity and quality of IACDE’s accreditation process. Your responsibilities may include reviewing institutional documentation, evaluating self-study reports, participating in virtual interviews, and upholding the organization’s Core Accreditation Standards. This is a unique opportunity to impact global education while serving alongside a distinguished team of academic leaders and experts.
Key Responsibilities
· Review accreditation applications and peer review reports.
· Participate in quarterly virtual board meetings and votes.
· Uphold ethical and conflict-free evaluation standards.
· Contribute to strategic oversight and organizational policy.
· Represent IACDE’s values and mission publicly and professionally.
Qualifications
· Post-graduate degree required (Doctorate preferred).
· Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in higher education, digital learning, academic leadership, or quality assurance.
· Demonstrated knowledge of online, hybrid, or adult education models.
· Prior experience with accreditation processes, institutional governance, or education policy is preferred.
· Strong communication, objectivity, and confidentiality required.
· Current or retired academic dean, program chair, or director of online learning.
Ideal Backgrounds
· Quality assurance expert with evaluation or curriculum design experience.
· Educational consultant, nonprofit leader, or executive with board governance knowledge.
· Practitioner or researcher in areas like digital education, instructional design, or educational leadership.
