Description of Work

Position is an Administrative Associate II located at Central Prison Healthcare Complex in Raleigh, which houses 1318 close-custody male offenders.

This position reports directly to the Correctional Administrative Service Manager / HR Manager at CPHC. This position will be responsible for cross-training and serving as the backup in all areas of HR. Duties for this position could involve but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the accounting department with entering requisitions into NCFS/SharePoint and/or E-Procurement;

  • Filing for both accounting and Human Resources;

  • Assisting with special projects such as file review, auditing, tracking etc.

  • Assisting with agency staffing review and onboarding as well as assisting with interviews for regular staff;

  • This position will require a lot of walking throughout the day, at times when assisting with interviews.

  • Preparing reports and updating spreadsheets.

**This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits. **Applicants must pass a background check to be eligible for this job.**

  • Prior experience working in a HR office doing multiple tasks.

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft excel and SMART sheets.

The team of physicians, nurses, behavioral health services, dental services, psychiatric services, pharmacy services, and licensed healthcare administration services work together to provide emergent, acute, routine, and chronic health care, as well as preventive medicine at all prison facilities. They also coordinate with specialists and other clinical consultants outside of prisons throughout the state to ensure comprehensive health and well-being towards a safe transition from prison, improving public health, and decreasing recidivism.
