Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Aerial Fiber Lineman to oversee and perform pole climbing and telecommunications installation tasks. As a Lead Aerial Lineman, you will guide a team, ensure safe and efficient operations, and contribute to the installation and maintenance of aerial telecommunications infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Climb utility poles to install, repair, and maintain telecommunications cables, including fiber optic lines.
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of aerial equipment and cabling systems.
- Operate and maintain climbing gear, tools, and equipment, including bucket trucks and rigging systems.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, industry standards, and company safety policies.
- Document work performed, including inspection reports and project updates.
- Coordinate with project managers and other team members to meet project goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pole climbing and telecommunications or utility line work.
- Proven ability to lead and manage in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
- Proficiency with climbing gear, hand tools, and aerial lift equipment.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optic lines.
- CDL required.
- Physical ability to climb poles, lift heavy equipment, and work at heights in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $40.00 per hour
