Role Overview
The Aerospace Manufacturing Drafter (AMD) will be responsible for creating detailed technical documentation and drawings essential for the production of aerospace components. The drafter collaborates closely with engineering and design teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with evolving technical standards and specifications. Work involves using industry-standard CAD software to support complex manufacturing and assembly processes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop high-precision 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on engineering specifications.
Modify technical drawings in response to design changes and engineering reviews.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
Interpret and verify complex geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory reviews and manufacturing proposals.
Maintain documentation accuracy and alignment with AS-level aerospace standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical education a plus.
Minimum 2 years of drafting experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Intermediate knowledge of technical math and precision measurement tools.
Familiarity with industry regulations (such as AS9100) is desirable.
Hands-on knowledge of inspection tools like optical comparators and digital micrometers.
Skilled in GD&T and capable of reading and producing complex mechanical drawings.
Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar 3D CAD programs.
