Aftercare Supervisor
Location: Washington NW/ Maryland Borderline
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Aftercare Supervisor to manage our aftercare program for elementary students. This role involves overseeing a group of children as they unwind after their classes, engaging them in outdoor play, board games, drawing, and other creative activities. The ideal candidate will embody patience, positivity, and a genuine love for working with children.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Supervise and engage a group of elementary students in fun and creative activities after school.
- Organize and facilitate outdoor play, board games, drawing sessions, and other relaxing activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff, addressing any concerns with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the program.
- Maintain a fun and encouraging atmosphere, always approaching challenges with a positive attitude.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience working with children in a supervisory or educational capacity is preferred.
- Exceptional patience, creativity, and a passion for fostering a positive environment for children.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to connect with children of various ages.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
