Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized AR/AP Analyst to join our finance team. This individual will be responsible for managing both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to ensure timely and accurate financial processing. The ideal candidate will have experience in transportation or logistics, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a strong ability to communicate with internal teams, customers, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
- Communicate directly with customers regarding billing issues, payment status, and disputes.
- Apply incoming payments accurately and reconcile customer accounts.
- Prepare and distribute aging reports; escalate past-due accounts when necessary.
- Coordinate with sales and operations to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process carrier/vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Verify rate confirmations, PODs (proof of delivery), and other required documentation for payment approval.
- Communicate with carriers and vendors regarding payment status and inquiries.
- Reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist in weekly payment runs and maintain up-to-date AP records.
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Support month-end close by preparing AR/AP reports and reconciliations.
- Assist with audits and internal process reviews.
- Identify opportunities to improve AR/AP processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in AR/AP; logistics or transportation industry experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
