Job description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Analytics & Data Science Lead to join our team in Doral, FL.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading the design, development, and deployment of advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization tools to solve complex operational challenges.
- Overseeing data science projects across the entire life cycle, including requirement gathering, data extraction, feature engineering, model training, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborating with cross-functional technical teams, data engineers, and stakeholders to translate complex data insights into strategic, data-driven decisions.
- Establishing best practices for data governance, model validation, and reproducible analytic workflows across all data environments.
- Managing individual analytic tasks and mentoring team members to ensure technical delivery aligns with customer objectives.
- Recommending and implementing process improvements, automated pipelines, and emerging data science technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
MinimumQualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in advanced analytics or data science roles.
- OR a PhD and 3+ or more years of relevant experience
- OR a masterās degree and 5+ or more years of relevant experience
- OR an associateās degree and 9+ or more years of relevant experience
- OR a high school diploma and 11+ or more years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with standard data analysis tools, languages, and frameworks such as Python, R, and SQL.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex technical documentation, analytical findings, and executive presentations to stakeholders.
Preferred
Qualifications
- Masterās degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a quantitative discipline.
- Prior experience supporting U.S. Military Command operations or Department of Defense enterprise data environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies.
- Experience with MLOps frameworks, DevSecOps pipelines, and deploying AI/ML models into production environments.

- Must hold a current/active Secret security clearance.
Physical
Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
