We are building an innovative, collaborative team who will help shape the future of care at Med Center Health. As part of the Third Party & Legacy Support Team, the Applications Analyst will play a vital role in maintaining current systems, coordinating with third-party vendors, and ensuring a seamless transition to Epic.
Position Summary
The Applications Analyst is responsible for maintaining Med Center Health’s legacy applications and coordinating with third-party vendors during the Epic implementation. This role will ensure continuity of operations across clinical, revenue cycle, and ancillary systems until Epic is fully deployed, while also supporting integration and data migration efforts. The analyst will collaborate closely with Epic Analysts, clinical, and operational leaders to support both day-to-day operations and the long-term success of Epic.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains operational support for legacy EHR and related applications during Epic implementation.
- Coordinates with third-party vendors to manage and support integrated applications (lab, imaging, pharmacy automation, scheduling, financial systems, etc.).
- Supports data extraction, transformation, and validation for migration into Epic.
- Provides troubleshooting and issue resolution for legacy systems and third-party interfaces.
- Documents workflows, dependencies, and integration points between legacy systems and Epic.
- Participates in Epic testing cycles, cutover planning, and go-live readiness.
- Assists with archival strategies, read-only access transitions, and decommissioning of legacy systems.
- Collaborates with Epic analysts, IT leadership, clinicians, and vendors to ensure smooth transitions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare, or a related field required (or) Associate’s degree and 2 years of Healthcare experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare IT, clinical systems, or applications support required.
