Minimum Qualifications:
Architecture, Historic Preservation, or closely related field (M.A. preferred) and 2-5 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience includes conducting Section 106 Reviews for the telecom and broadband industries.
Position:
This position can be out of our Macon, GA office or your home office (remote). Weight will be given to candidates located east of the Mississippi.

We are seeking an exceptional and responsible individual to join our team of professionals. Travel in and out of state will be required. The position will be focused primarily on providing environmental compliance and due diligence services to our Telecom clients. The selected individual will work closely with peers to provide unparalleled customer service, conduct all components of Environmental Site Assessments and participate in NEPA related assessments.
The position will have the potential for advancement and will depend on technical competence, dedication, management abilities and achieving established goals. The position requires a proven track record of technical competence, project management, telecommunications/utility related investigations, as well as achieving performance, capability, and workload goals.

The individual must be exceedingly reliable, possess superior technical writing skills and have strong interpersonal skills allowing for comfortable interaction with a wide demographic.
Prior experience providing environmental compliance services to the telecom and broadband industries is preferable. Significant weight will be given to candidates that have recent experience in conduction Section 106 Review for telecom sites.
Being able to step into the position with a very short learning curve is key. Therefore, being independent and reliable is paramount. Professionalism and experience are also key factors. The right individual needs to be forward thinking, able to meet strict deadlines, adhere to budgetary constraints, work with little supervision, and be able to work on multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be proficient in computer skills and have a strong knowledge of Microsoft software. Excellent technical writing abilities are essential.
Candidate Requirements/Metrics:
- Degree in Architecture, Architectural History, Art History, Historic Preservation, or closely related field, with coursework in American architectural history.
- Must meet Secretary of the Interior Professional Qualifications Standards for Architectural History, Historic Preservation Planner or Historic Architecture.
- Minimum of two years full-time professional experience in the field of Section 106 compliance.
- Ability to identify historic preservation issues and identify Areas of Potential Effect (APE).
- Ability to complete formal Section 106 consultation with Historic Preservation Officers with minimal technical supervision.
- Familiarity with NEPA & Section 106 Process.
- Experience providing services to the Telecom and broadband industries.
- A broad understanding of SHPO requirements and how they differ from state to state.
- Ability to plan and implement site visits and conduct field surveys.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Technical writing abilities.
- Experience with GIS systems (ESRI, Globe Explorer, etc.).
- Leadership abilities. Proven record of positive and professional personality with the ability to interact with individuals with a variety of backgrounds and skill sets.
