Are you a natural closer with a passion for growing new business? As an Area Sales Manager, your priority is opening new retail accounts and driving sell-through of our innovative product, feel free. This is a field-based sales role where you'll build and manage your territory - prospecting, pitching, and placing our brand in stores across the market. You'll focus on expanding distribution, building retail partnerships, and ensuring our product moves off shelves through strategic execution and relationship-building.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prospect and open new accounts in your market, with a focus on independently owned retailers.
Pitch and sell our plant-based energy supplement to new retail partners, educating them on its benefits, value proposition, and profit potential.
Build strong relationships with store owners, managers, and buyers to drive long-term partnerships and account growth.
Execute in-store marketing, including product education, placement, sampling, and merchandising to support sell-through.
Manage the sales and deliveries of product across your market’s business.
Track sales performance and maintain accurate records of visits, outcomes, and follow-ups using company systems.
Stay sharp on local market trends and competitor activity and adjust your sales strategy accordingly to maximize success.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in outside sales, field marketing, or route-based distribution is strongly preferred — especially in beverage, CPG, or related industries.
Proven ability to open new business accounts, particularly in independently owned retail environments (e.g., bodegas, convenience stores, gas stations).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills — able to confidently pitch and build rapport with store owners and decision-makers.
Self-starter mindset with high drive, hustle, and accountability — thrives in an independent role.
Solid territory management and organizational skills — able to plan routes, manage inventory, and follow up efficiently.
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and restocking product when necessary.
Basic proficiency in using mobile apps, CRM tools, and spreadsheets to track sales activity and performance.
