Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and the prescribed location. This role requires a professional demeanor, strong conflict management skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. As an Armed Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in deterring crime and ensuring the safety of individuals on-site.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activities.
- Enforce security policies and procedures while maintaining a visible presence to deter potential threats.
- Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering first aid and CPR when necessary.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
- Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports for record-keeping purposes.
- Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Experience
- Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or loss prevention is highly desirable.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; additional training in conflict management is a plus.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques is advantageous.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
