Job Description
As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Officer - Mornings in Bartow, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .
As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a government location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the assigned area, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and responsibly handle a firearm while on duty. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed patrol posts.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a visible presence.
- Document observations, incidents, and/or activities in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as directed during incidents or emergencies.
- Remain alert and prepared to respond to security-related situations, adapting to varying working environments and conditions at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
- Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or possess an equivalent qualification. This requirement can be completed post hire.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
