Job Description:
The Department of Art at McDaniel College seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Perceptual Drawing and 2D Design Concepts in the fall 2025 semester. Adjunct instructors teach one to two course sections per semester, depending on availability. Our studio classes are taught face-to-face on campus in Westminster, MD.
- Meeting all designated class periods.
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
- Designing and delivering classes that work toward achieving the outcomes established for the course.
- Convey course information and communicate with students through the College's online course management system (Blackboard).
- Grading student assignments and provide feedback in a timely manner.
- Submitting mid-term and final grades according to college regulations.
- Attending compensated professional development opportunities.
Building a positive rapport with students and faculty.
Requirements:
MFA in a relevant discipline in addition to college-level teaching experience.
