About the Opportunity
Solaris is looking for an Assembly Lead Technician to join our Manufacturing team in Early, TX. The ideal candidate would have 3 years of leadership experience, 1-2 years of electrical experience, 3 years of assembly experience, and the ability to use hand and power tools, and equipment.
Essential Functions - Operations:
- Supervise Employees who assemble both fabricated and purchased parts
- Prepare daily work schedule
- Assign work to employees
- Ensure conformance of final product
- Establish work procedures / instructions
- Establish and maintain up to date JSA forms
- Assign training for new hires with skilled employees
- Continuous cross training of employees
- Assist Manager with employee reviews
- Work Closely with Paint Lead to ensure parts arrive in a timely manner
- Maintain company equipment and inform manager and maintenance of broken or damaged equipment
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Demonstrate leadership skills, i.e. lead by example
- Inform employees of engineering change notice
- Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
- Maintain morning tool box talks, assign employees to give talks each morning
- Demonstrate quality time management skills
- Educate employees on company rules and regulations
- Work closely with warehouse staff to coordinate parts movement
- Maintain required company standards ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction
- Ensure the Key Performance Indicators are monitored and targets are achieved
- Motivate the team to create a high-performance culture where improvement suggestions are embraced
- Support implementation of engineering and safety changes
- Conduct incident, accident and non-conformity investigations with manager
- Provide feedback to management team on process and safety improvements
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management

Experience/Education
- High school or equivalent
- 3 years of leadership experience
- 3 years of assembly experience
- 1-2 years of electrical experience
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects with or without accommodations
- Ability to use forklift
- Work independently as well as in teams
- Ability to route and connect electrical harnesses
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Able to recognize, own and act on assembly problems or errors and recommend corrections
- Must be proficient in accuracy and attention to detail
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status
