Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for side effects.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure safety.
- Help with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a respectful environment that upholds resident rights and dignity.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Provide companionship and support to enhance the quality of life for elderly clients.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or home health is preferred but not required.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols is beneficial.
- Knowledge of resident rights and vital signs monitoring is an asset.
- A background in nursing or related fields can enhance your candidacy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with elderly clients are essential.
