Responsibilities
- Responsible for directing, developing and executing student services to support the advising of high credit hour students and students with special circumstances. Assists in establishing and implementing programs, policies and procedures that affect timely graduation to improve undergraduate student's degree completion rates.
- Manages and designs interventions for students while providing intensive advising and degree planning assistance to facilitate timely degree completion in consultation with colleges and departments to develop appropriate graduation plans. Monitors academic progress of assigned students and conducts targeted outreach campaigns.
- Compiles and analyzes data from multiple sources to identify persistence and attrition trends which may impact timely degree completion to recommend process, policy, or programming changes. Collaborates with the GPS director on the coordination of Completion Campaign annual reports through the tracking of outreach efforts and intervention outcomes.
- Provides direct management and supervision to senior academic program specialists who work with the Completion Campaign to include participating in the recruitment process, training, time and leave approvals, annual evaluations, etc. Collaborates with the GPS Director to develop, coordinate, identify, and assign caseloads to senior academic program specialists working on the Completion Campaign.
- Represent unit in campus committees and working groups focused on student success. Serves as a liaison between graduation support advising and the FSU community. Provides support with special projects, research, and other assignments.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years' experience related to academic and/or student services or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)
