Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Center Assistant Director to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the daily operations of our child care center, ensuring a nurturing and educational environment for children. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Center Director to implement educational programs, manage staff, and foster positive relationships with families and the community.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs that meet the needs of children and align with state regulations.
- Support the Center Director in managing daily operations, including staff supervision, scheduling, and compliance with licensing requirements.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for children, staff, and families by promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Oversee classroom activities, ensuring that teaching staff are providing high-quality instruction and care to all students.
- Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain accurate records related to student enrollment, attendance, and staff performance.
- Provide guidance and support to teaching staff in their professional development and classroom management strategies.
Experience
- A background in higher education teaching or education administration is preferred.
- Previous university experience is highly desirable, particularly in roles related to child development or education.
- Demonstrated experience working with students in an educational setting is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
