Summary
A premier senior living community is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support leadership within the Health and Wellness department. This role is instrumental in elevating the resident and family experience through strong clinical guidance, team mentoring, and operational support. The ADON helps oversee both administrative and clinical aspects of care, contributing to a culture of service excellence and resident-centered health care within an assisted living and memory care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Health and Wellness team members, ensuring compliance with policies and best practices
- Assist in creating and managing clinical staff schedules
- Support training, onboarding, and performance development of care staff
- Administer medications and oversee resident care in alignment with state regulations and community standards
- Collaborate with the Director of Health and Wellness to ensure high-quality care and seamless department operations
- Monitor resident health, respond to changes in condition, and coordinate appropriate interventions
- Promote a compassionate, professional environment that enhances resident satisfaction and team cohesion
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years working as a Floor or Charge Nurse
- Experience in clinical staff scheduling (Required)
- Experience in senior living or memory care (Preferred)
Licensure/Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment (Required)
- Ability to obtain any state-required certifications or licenses
Skills & Physical Requirements:
- Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English
- Physically capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 40 lbs, with frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
