Job Summary
With the mission as a guide, the role of the Assistant Director is one of support and balance between the Director and support staff. The responsibilities of the Assistant Director are in conjunction with, and in addition to, all of the essential functions of the Direct Support Professional position.

· They need someone who will provide person-driven support to ensure quality services are upheld for everyone supported.
· They need someone who is self-directed with good leadership skills who will help them and their staff in working to achieve the Mission of Out of the Box Studio & Gallery and Looking Upwards.
Mandatory Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Be at least 18 years of age.
2. Arts or Human services degree preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
3. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record for at least 3 years.
4. Must be able to access transportation either private or public with person supported.
5. When using your own personal vehicle, provide documentation of an insured, inspected and registered automobile.
6. Ability to complete CPR, Safety Skills, Human Rights, agency required trainings, and other required trainings
7. Capable of effective oral and written communication
8. Capable of reading and comprehending policies and instruction, and use varying degrees of independent judgment and discretion.
9. Ability to respond to emergency situations at all times and follow emergency preparedness
