Assistant Field Operations Manager
Position Summary:
We’re looking for a driven and experienced Assistant Field Operations Manager to help lead and support our field teams. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest quality of service, driving efficiency, and building a positive team culture across multiple landscape maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of daily operations for all field crews, including maintenance, arbor care, and irrigation teams.
- Develop and maintain weekly schedules, ensuring optimal staffing, equipment, and resources across all projects.
- Hire, train, mentor, and manage field staff, ensuring team members meet performance, safety, and customer service standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor job quality, safety compliance, and client satisfaction.
- Work closely with account managers, business developers, and leadership to support project execution and client needs.
- Review and assist with project estimates, proposals, scheduling, and operational planning.
- Implement and enforce company policies, OSHA standards, and safety practices across all job sites.
- Drive operational excellence through proactive problem-solving, resource management, and quality control inspections.
- Ensure company vehicles, equipment, and machinery are maintained and utilized properly.
- Be available for urgent matters after hours (on-call responsibilities as needed).
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience in landscape maintenance, construction, or a related field (commercial landscaping experience preferred).
- 3+ years of proven management or supervisory experience in field operations.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English (Spanish bilingual is a plus).
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification preferred.
- ISA Arborist Certification, B3/B5 Applicator Licenses, or Irrigation Association Certification are a plus but not required.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
