JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Food Service Manager is anchored in a particular role/department. The Assistant Food Service Manager is thoroughly trained and has the capacity to serve as a substitute FS Manager in all the FS departments including kitchen. If an authoritative decision needs to be made in a particular Food Services department and the Food Services Manager or Head Cook are not available, the Assistant Food Service Manager will be consulted and have decision making authority. The Assistant Food Service Manager has the knowledge and ability to put away orders. The Assistant Food Service Manger must have open availability this includes weekends, holidays, etc.
To lead in training and development of all team members and directing Food Service Leads. To select, order, receive, price, stock and display Department merchandise within Department budgetary guidelines and according to Wildberries’ policies and procedures; to merchandise Department product line to maximize sales and customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Lead, inspire, train, and direct all Team Members effectively.
· Ensure staff productivity and superior customer service, as well as order of priority.
· Engage in Team Member performance and discipline processes in a timely manner and according to policy.
· Maintain good morale by encouraging clear communications: create and maintain an effective working team that supports the company with emphasis on welfare of Team Members and health of store.
· Accepts constructive criticism well. Provides constructive criticism in an appropriate manner.
· Prepare, analyze and present routine reports to Food Service Manager to assist with department effectiveness and policy adherence, for example shrink/transfer
· Identify training and development opportunities for Team Members.
· Coordinate staff member work duties with Food Services Manager.
· Manage day to day staffing needs, call/outs, etc.
· Select, order, receive, price, stock and display Department merchandise.
· Handle Department damaged/out of date product according to Department procedures.
· Review Department invoices for accuracy.
· Meet with product vendors as directed.
· Participate in Department inventories.
· Maintain order records and product information files.
· Meet/work with other Team Members to achieve Team/store goals.
· Assist customers as needed.
· Report safety violations or concerns to Food Service Manager or MOD
· Ensure Department sanitation and enforce policy health code.
· Report security concerns to MOD.
· Assume Food Services Manager or Head Cook duties in their absence, if applicable.
· Other duties as assigned.
Safety and Sanitation:
- Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness at all times.
- Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations.
- Practices proper lifting techniques and personal safety precautions.
- Maintains a clean, organized work area at all times.
- Maintains complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely.
- Watches store floor at all times for potential hazards (spills, debris, fallen items) and takes action as necessary or informs store MOD.
· As applicable, practices proper food handling including sanitizing of work surfaces, proper hand-washing, glove change, etc.

- Reads and remains current on all posted store information.
- Able to work Weekends and Weekdays, Nights and Mornings.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
· Possess current Food Safety Manager Handler’s card.
· 2 years retail food services or relevant experience.
· Ability to satisfactorily perform duties and responsibilities described above in a timely manner.
· Ability to take direction from others.
· Ability to organize and direct staff.
· Ability to work effectively as a Team Member.
· Ability to prioritize duties when faced with interruptions, fluctuating work load.
· Excellent problem solving skills.
· English language proficiency, both speaking and reading.
