Position Overview:
The Assistant General Manager at Serafina will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant. This position involves working closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and enhance the guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of restaurant management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities. Ensure that service standards and operational procedures are consistently met.
- Staff Leadership: Assist in recruiting, training, and developing team members. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Guest Experience: Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by maintaining exceptional service standards. Address and resolve guest concerns and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Financial Oversight: Help manage the restaurant’s budget, including cost control, inventory management, and financial reporting. Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for improvement and drive profitability.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the General Manager in setting operational goals and implementing strategies to achieve them. Contribute to the development of marketing and promotional initiatives to attract and retain guests.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
- Administrative Duties: Assist with scheduling, payroll processing, and other administrative tasks as required. Prepare reports on operational performance and staff productivity.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a managerial role within the restaurant or hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and capacity to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with restaurant management software.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
