Summary

The Assistant General Manager is responsible for leading all guest-facing Food & Beverage operations at Sky Deck. Reporting to the General Manager, this role oversees daily food service execution, team development, labor management, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence across multiple dining venues.

The AGM partners closely with the Culinary leadership team to deliver exceptional guest experiences while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and hospitality.

Job Specifications:

Responsibilities

Guest Experience

  • Lead a guest-first culture that delivers exceptional service and memorable experiences.
  • Respond to guest concerns and identify opportunities to improve satisfaction.
  • Ensure all guest-facing areas are clean, organized, and presentation-ready.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop Front of House supervisors and team members.
  • Build engaged, high-performing teams through recognition, coaching, and accountability.
  • Manage scheduling and staffing plans to support business needs.

Operations

  • Oversee daily Front of House operations, including service execution, cash handling, POS systems, and opening/closing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, food safety, and responsible alcohol service practices.
  • Partner with BOH leadership to ensure seamless operations and communication.

Financial Management

  • Support labor management, productivity goals, and operational budgets.
  • Monitor sales performance, staffing levels, and guest service metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.

Resort Partnership

  • Collaborate with Mountain Operations, Events, Marketing, and other resort departments.
  • Support seasonal activations, special events, and peak visitation periods.
  • Promote a One Team culture across Heavenly Mountain Resort.

Requirements

Required

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in Food & Beverage, hospitality, or resort operations.
  • Experience leading high-volume guest service teams.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • California Food Handler Certification.
  • TIPS Certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.

Preferred

  • Resort, hotel, or multi-unit restaurant experience.
  • Experience managing multiple outlets and large seasonal teams.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

The expected pay range is $25.00/h - $28.60/h. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
