Job Summary: ONE Club Gulf Shores is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Golf Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a key player in delivering an exceptional golf experience for our members and guests. This role is responsible for supporting all daily golf operations with a strong focus on customer service, sales, and marketing. We are looking for an individual with a passion for golf and hospitality who can contribute to our community's growth and help manage a variety of club activities.
Duties
- Greet all members and guests warmly, manage check-in procedures, and oversee tee time reservations to ensure a smooth flow of play.
- Coordinate and conduct golf shop sales, assist with merchandising, and maintain an attractive and organized retail environment.
- Assist in the planning and execution of tournaments, leagues, and other special golf events.
- Support player development programs and promote all club services and activities to members and guests.
- Contribute to the club's marketing efforts by promoting ONE Club and its golf offerings across various channels, including digital and social media platforms.
- Maintain accurate records for rounds, lessons, and inventory.
- Address guest inquiries professionally, resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Demonstrate flexibility to assist in other areas of the club as needed, including food and beverage service and golf cart fleet management.
- Perform other applicable duties as directed by management.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or guest services is required, preferably in a golf club, hospitality, or resort setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an aptitude for public speaking and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated experience in retail sales and cash handling procedures.
- A strong understanding of the game of golf is essential.
- Experience with event management and marketing is highly desirable.
- Must be a proactive team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
