Job Purpose:

To be responsible for all aspects of client service for a group of corporate structures, real estate and private equity funds. The role will include liaising closely with individual team members in order to ensure timely production of high quality materials and responses to client queries.

The employee will assist with continued development of the team's internal controls and policies and procedures.

Our team is growing and therefore the role will require an individual who is able to respond dynamically to changing requirements and to manage various requirements concurrently.

Summary of

Responsibilities

  • For a select client group, being the principle contact with the Client and the Directors of the relevant boards in relation to all accounting aspects, and providing support to the Client Relationship Managers for the same for larger clients;
  • Liaising with lawyers, tax advisers, other administrators and regulatory authorities in relation to ad hoc transactions;
  • Managing the investor query flow and responding to complex queries that arise;
  • Overseeing the audit process and liaising with external independent auditors in connection with the financial reporting process and sign-off, including assisting with the resolution of complex accounting matters and audit queries;
  • Preparation and/or review of client financial and investor reporting, including consolidations (for candidates who are qualified/studying towards an accounting qualification);
  • Preparation and/or review of bookkeeping and supporting calculations (e.g. loan interest, accruals, management fees and carried interest etc.) (for candidates who are qualified/studying towards an accounting qualification);
  • Preparation / Review of drawdowns, distribution and equalisation processes (for candidates who are qualified/studying towards an accounting qualification);
  • Supervising, training and development of individuals reporting into you;
  • Responsible for the migration/onboarding of accounting platforms for a selective group of clients and from other service providers;
  • Reviewing reconciliation processes across subsidiaries in various jurisdictions, including underlying investment Waterfalls in accordance with the governing documents;
  • Assessing and monitoring risks as well as production of controls in order to mitigate risks identified;
  • Where relevant, attending and presenting at client board meetings; and
  • Reviewing and authorisation of payments and assisting with other general administrative matters;
  • Any other reasonable duties that may be assigned

Knowledge and experience

  • Professional qualification or part qualified towards this qualification, including in the accountancy field (e.g. ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent)
  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel (intermediate level)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, strategic thinking and leadership experience with an emphasis on relationship management.
  • The ability to communicate at all levels
  • To have an attitude that inspires respect and to be capable of taking the lead
  • A high level of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality is essential due to the nature of the work
  • Ability to be proactive with very close attention to detail to ensure work is of a consistently high standard
  • Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • To be able to use all standard business software
  • Flexible, with the ability to work to time pressures and react calmly to changing demands
  • Ability to manage own workload and prioritise accordingly
