Position Summary
Assistant Manager - Quality Assurance should provide guidance and supervision to Senior / QA Analyst on providing Quality Assurance Services to all business applications changes. He/She should be able to support the team members in delivering the assigned tasks meeting within scope and timeline, and assist the manager to ensure proper governance policies and processes being complied.
Primary Responsibility
- Enforce Quality Assurance/Software Testing processes and guidelines.
- Enforce the execution of the software quality standards measurement of IS&T projects.
- Develop QA operations guidelines to seek for continuous service improvement.
- Manage business users and vendors in completing the software testing related tasks.
- Ensure the execution of QA environments management to be as identical as possible with production environment.
- Assist in team resources planning for different projects and tasks.
- Supervise and oversee the QA/UAT tasks and activities to meet project milestones.
- Manage and govern testing environments by proper version control and release management.
- Familiar with SDLC processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related area of study, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years relevant working experience on software applications/quality assurance or related areas.
- Working knowledge of different software testing and test automation tools and techniniques is required.
- Project Management and/or ITIL certifications, an advantage.
- Effective time management and organization skills with the capacity to handle multi tasks.
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills are required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with a good ability to communicate in English. The ability to communicate in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is required.
- Ability to adopt always changing working environment and able to handle unexpected situations.
- Willing to work overtime and on an on-call basis, commit and delegate to any work assignments, and ability to motivate the team.
- Prior experience working with casino and hotel management systems is an advantage.
