The Assistant Property Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of a property management team. This position involves overseeing property leasing, maintenance, and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the leasing process, including marketing available units and conducting property tours.
- Coordinate property maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant information and lease agreements using property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and assist in the enforcement of community rules.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking maintenance tasks and schedules.
- Support the financial management of the property by assisting with budgeting and expense tracking.
- Engage in upselling services or amenities to enhance resident satisfaction and retention.
- Provide administrative support, including handling legal documents and office correspondence.
Skills
- Proficiency in Yardi property management software is preferred.
- Knowledge of property leasing processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with property maintenance protocols and CMMS systems.
- Understanding of Fair Housing regulations to ensure compliance.
- Experience with HFC properties is a plus.
- Strong legal administrative skills for handling tenant-related documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in office tasks.
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, vendors, and team members.
