CESA 7 Head Start 0-5 is looking for individuals who are knowledgeable about young children and are skilled at guiding their development in an early childhood, preschool classroom setting or are eager to develop these skills! If that sounds like you, we invite you to apply to be one of our nurturing Assistant Teachers, and serve children, ages 3-5, in our classrooms. We currently have openings in our classrooms in Ashwaubenon (Cormier Early Learning), and Howard (Suamico Elementary). We look forward to meeting you!
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a High School diploma or GED/HSED. If needed, additional training will be provided to complete child care licensing requirements. Willingness to complete Child Development Associate or begin coursework toward Associates Degree in Early Childhood within one year is required. Applicants with a CDA or AA in Early Childhood and/or experience working in Head Start, 4K, or a licensed child care center will be given hiring preference. Parents of young children who are or have been enrolled in Head Start are encouraged to apply. These are school year positions. Assistant teacher positions are currently 27 hours/week, Monday-Thursday 11:00 am-5:00 pm and Friday 8:00-11:00.
