We are excited to announce that we are rebuilding our competitive Xcel program and are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and passionate individual to take the role of assistant Xcel Team Coach. Position Overview: The assistant team coach will be responsible for designing and implementing training programs, providing individual athlete feedback, and managing all aspects of the Xcel competition team. This role requires someone with a strong, established coaching background, leadership abilities, and a dedication to fostering a positive team culture. You will play an essential role in bringing our Xcel team back to success, so we're looking for someone who is fully committed to this mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead/assist and manage all aspects of the Xcel competitive team program, including practices, meets, and athlete development.
- Help develop and implement training plans that emphasize technical skills, fitness, and mental toughness.
- Provide positive, constructive feedback to athletes to enhance their growth and performance.
- Foster a team atmosphere that encourages collaboration, respect, and healthy competition.
- Serve as a role model for athletes in terms of discipline, attitude, and professionalism.
- Coordinate with other coaches, parents, and staff to ensure alignment with club goals and values.
- Actively participate in club events, fundraising efforts, and community outreach initiatives.
- Work closely with the club management and board members to continue developing and improving the Xcel program.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience coaching competitive gymnastics at the Xcel or similar level (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of gymnastics techniques, drills, and competitive routines.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate athletes and foster a positive team environment.
- Highly committed, passionate, and driven to help athletes succeed.
- USAG (USA Gymnastics) certification (or willingness to obtain) and background check.
- Ability to relocate to Watford City is required.
