The Physical Education, Recreation, and Athletics (PERA) Department is seeking an individual with experience in working within a community of diverse students and colleagues. Successful candidates will by their administrative, professional skills, leadership and service demonstrate they can contribute to the diversity and excellence of athletics, the department and our community. The PERA Department is currently accepting applications for a .40 FTE (September-May) appointment as Assistant Crew Coach. This part-time faculty position does not include benefits and is appointed on an annual basis.
Responsibilities:
Coaching:
The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of the program, including on-water coaching, land-based training, recruitment, team travel, equipment maintenance, and promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Collegiate rowing or coaching experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- CPR/First Aid and/or USRowing SafeSport certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes
- Valid driver’s license required and clearance to drive College vehicles required
