Position Summary
Delaware County Community College, a two-year college located in Media, PA, is seeking an Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach to assist its Women’s Volleyball program. Delaware County Community College is a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) in Region XIX of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
The Assistant Coach is responsible for planning, programming, directing, supervising and implementing the duties and functions of the Women’s Volleyball program. The Assistant Coach must work closely with all others involved in the EPAC, Region XIX and the College in carrying out the mission and objectives of the intercollegiate athletic program. The Assistant Coach reports directly to the Director of Athletics.
Essential Functions
The Assistant Women’s Volleyball Assistant Coach is a part-time, contracted position with the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Assist with providing vision, leadership, organization, and supervision for all facets of the women's Volleyball program to ensure a highly competitive and successful program.
Assist in creating an atmosphere of and demonstrate a commitment to compliance with all applicable NJAA and Region 19 conference and institutional policies, rules and regulations.
Experience & Education
Qualified candidate will have 1-3 years previous volleyball coaching experience at high school, AAU or college level, Previous coaching experience at club level, two-year or four-year college level preferred; knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations a plus; Experience as a former athlete in a women’s volleyball program at high school or college level a plus. Associate's degree from an accredited college or university. Must have a valid state issued drivers' license
