Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Referee to officiate youth volleyball games. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the game, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage conflicts effectively. This role is essential in ensuring fair play and maintaining the integrity of the sport while providing a positive experience for young athletes.
Responsibilities
- Officiate youth volleyball games, ensuring adherence to game rules and regulations.
- Communicate clearly with players, coaches, and spectators regarding calls made during the game.
- Manage conflicts on the court by addressing disputes calmly and fairly.
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times, serving as a role model for young athletes.
- Collaborate with coaches and sports coordinators to ensure smooth game operations.
- Provide feedback to players on their performance while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork.
- Attend training sessions to stay updated on rule changes and officiating techniques.
Experience
- Previous experience in sports coaching or officiating is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of volleyball rules and gameplay is essential.
- Experience working with children in a sports environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with players, coaches, and parents.
- Demonstrated conflict management skills to handle on-court disputes professionally.
