Position Summary

Associate, IT ERP Functional Analyst (Services Procurement) implements and maintains ERP solutions for end-to-end Supply Chain Services procurement with cross-functional integrations. Expert in all phases of software lifecycle, including business process analysis, systems analysis, business process blueprinting, configuration, testing, cut-over preparation, end user training, and go-live activities as well as post go-live system and end user support. Works with the team of functional, technical experts, business SMEs and consultants responsible for developing/enhancing SAP and other applications required to support PG&E business systems.

PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position. The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The range to reasonably expect will be around the minimum and the midpoint $73,000 - $91,000. The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Bay Area Min: $73,000

Bay Area Max: $109,000

This new teammate needs to be able to come to Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Oakland headquarters 3 days a week, since all project team is here in person Tuesday to Thursday.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of SAP S/4HANA Service Procurement solutions and related applications.
  • Participate in business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, training, and production support activities.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, senior analysts, technical teams, and implementation partners to deliver service procurement solutions.
  • Analyze business requirements and assist in documenting functional specifications, process flows, configuration documents, and test scenarios.
  • Support Fit-to-Standard implementation approaches by leveraging SAP standard capabilities and reducing unnecessary customizations.
  • Assist in evaluating solution alternatives and provide recommendations based on business requirements and system capabilities.
  • Perform system configuration activities under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Execute unit testing, support integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.
  • Support issue triage, root cause analysis, defect resolution, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
  • Develop and maintain functional documentation, training materials, and knowledge articles.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Finance, Work Management, Architecture, and Integration teams to support end-to-end business processes.
  • Monitor support tickets and service requests, ensuring issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, automation, and user experience.
  • Stay current with SAP S/4HANA Service Procurement capabilities and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-3 years of IT, ERP, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related business systems experience.
  • Fundamental understanding of ERP concepts and business processes.
  • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain business processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, business processes, and applications quickly.
  • Experience creating functional documentation, test scripts, or business requirements documentation.

Desired:

  • Experience participating in system implementations, enhancements, support activities, or business process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM) or Service Procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of Service Procurement concepts including Service Entry Sheets (SES), service contracts, and purchase orders.
  • Exposure to SAP Ariba or SAP Fieldglass applications.
  • Internship, project, or professional experience supporting ERP implementations or enhancements.
  • Understanding of integration concepts between procurement, finance, and supply chain applications.
  • Experience supporting system testing and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Utility, energy, construction, or similar industry experience.
