The Associate Loss Mitigation Intake position will focus on collecting financial documentation from borrowers facing hardship and requesting loss mitigation assistance. Borrower contact is required as follow up calls will be needed to obtain a complete package for analysis. Monitoring active intake portfolio for timely mailing of required letters is essential to meet required CFPB deadlines.
Job Duties:
Timely review all incoming documents to determine if the document(s) constitute a complete request for Loss Mitigation
Send written letters to borrowers confirming the Completeness or Incompleteness of their Loss Mitigation request package
Outbound and inbound calls to/from borrower regarding incomplete or complete Loss Mitigation packages
Monitor daily Loss Mitigation Outlook Mailbox activity for Intake Pkgs and related documentation and consumer complaints.
Promptly open, stamp and log incoming mail and checks received, distributing in accordance with area procedures
Order Credit Reports in accordance with staff requests ensuring that proper forms and controls are followed for handling confidential information
Order Valuations (DVI, Appraisal or BPO)
Manage documentation to ensure files are properly organized and scanned to Nautilus for long term retention following applicable milestones in the loss mitigation, consumer compliant, cease & desist or loss mitigation appeal process
Adhere to strict CFPB timelines related to Loss Mitigation
Monitor and maintain activity in various Loss Mitigation queues in MSP daily.
Retrieve and review monthly report to determine borrowers eligible for FHA interview process.
Adhere to Investor/Insurer requirement documentation when required
Additional loss mitigation tasks as assigned
Assist area managers with other projects and initiatives as required
Skills and Experience Required:
2 - 4 years of experience a financial services or related industry environment with heavy administrative responsibilities
High School Diploma or Equivalent required, advanced degree a plus
The estimated salary range for this position is $23.00 to $25.50 USD an hour. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
