Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual systems in various settings. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with schematics, and the ability to work with low voltage systems. The Audio Visual Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operation of audio and visual equipment for events and installations.
Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues related to audio-visual systems.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand wiring diagrams and system layouts.
- Perform cabling tasks, ensuring proper connections and organization of cables for optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and voltmeters to conduct repairs and maintenance on equipment.
- Provide field service support for clients, addressing any technical issues that arise during events or installations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in audio-visual technology.
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge related to audio-visual systems is essential.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems and electrical components is highly desirable.
- Experience in telecommunication systems is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot software issues effectively.
- Proficient in using hand tools and voltmeters for installation and repair tasks.
- Prior experience in field service roles or similar positions is preferred but not mandatory.
