WoVets LLC is seeking a qualified Audiologist to conduct hearing exams for military Veterans applying for disability and compensation benefits. This is a part-time, 1099 contract opportunity with no diagnosis or treatment involved.
All training, scheduling, and documentation guidance will be provided, allowing you to focus on what matters most: helping Veterans.
***You must currently have an OSHA/ADA compliant office within 100 miles of this location where you will see Veterans.***

Your Role as a Provider
- Apply your clinical expertise in the evaluation and diagnosis of eye and vision conditions to support a Veteran’s disability claim
- Gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, hearing assessment, diagnostic testing, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face structured examinations
- Develop a medical opinion of likelihood that the Veteran’s condition is related to their military service through objective, evidence-based findings
- Complete electronic Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) within 48 hours
Here is a typical workflow for a provider:
Exam Request Received > Testing and Exam Schedule > Provider Reviews Records > Veteran Exam Completion > Report Reviewed and Submitted within 24-48 hours of exam
Qualifications
Audiologist
- Doctor of Audiology (AuD), Audiology of Speech Language Pathology Degree (PhD), Doctor of Education in Audiology (EdD)
- Active and unrestricted Audiologist license in the state where exams are performed
- Two years of clinical experience preferred
- Prior experience with disability exams is a plus, but not required. Training is provided.
- Strong written communication skills (required)
- Attention to detail and comfort with electronic medical documentation
